The ‘self-talk’ language the false self uses can very subtly keep it ‘in control’ as the dictator of its ‘tiny’ existence. For example, to say: “Don’t give up” … on the surface sounds like an encouraging and uplifting phrase, but what it really does it ‘accentuate and emphasize’ whatever issue is being struggled with and thereby give it more life-force - thereby EXPANDING the experience and emphasize the illusion of victim-hood.
“Be vigilant’ can have the same ‘intended’ meaning but draws Attention to a Natural expression of the SELF Who is consistent in ITs focus on Truth. The difference may seem ‘slight’ but it ‘is’ enormous.
What one places their Attention on EXPANDS in their experience. This simple statement, IF ‘really’ understood and ‘lived’ SHIFTS one’s experience beyond description toward HOME.
