SEEK BUT NEVER FIND

Writer: John McIntoshJohn McIntosh

JOHN MCINTOSH

The questioning mind is celebrated from early childhood on. “He-she has a million questions … always wants to know more.” This is encouraged and the great adventure in the Grand Dream ‘out there’ … begins ‘again’. From a single question answered, several more questions arise and the quest for ‘mind-knowledge’ becomes a tree with limitless branches. Society praises this with awards, recognition and accolades of every kind.

But the mind can never know Truth.

There is a biblical adage: “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man [adult] , I put away childish things.” The child is the mind’s way of ‘understanding’.

When one turns their attention ‘inward’ eventually they discover that Truth is an ever-Present reality. This is the secret of doing ‘nothing’ and everything gets done. As long as you ‘seek’, you will NOT find … Truth has no destination and seeking always speaks of time and distance … of something which you do not already have.

It is in the Stillness within that Life that speaks softly, spontaneously and in every moment precisely and perfectly of Who YOU Are.
