BEING SPECIAL IS A TRAP

JOHN MCINTOSH

Being ‘special’ is a highly sought after status. The head of this, the president of that. Special credentials like doctor, lawyer or priest … the ‘identification titles’ of special-ness bestowed upon one lift the body-mind-identity ‘above and apart’ from others and make them feel important, safe and better than.

And yet, they are chains that intensify the belief in separation … the root core cause of the manifestation of the Grand Dream, the illusion of ‘other-ness’.

When you cross the bridge to Freedom, when the conditioning such as ‘identifications’ have dissolved, you [the Real YOU] emerges and knows [remembers] IT SELF. ‘you’, the false self does NOT some how ‘Realize’ something … this ‘you’ dissolves along with the conditioning that imprisoned YOU, and ‘special’ is known no more.

“Of myself I am nothing” is then understood.
