Nothing that occurs in your world experience is sent as some kind of retribution for something you ‘did’ in a previous lifetime or this one. Certainly, the swinging pendulum within the world of opposites will seek to balance ‘all’ but YOU have done ‘nothing’ wrong … or right. YOU [the Real YOU] … have NOT done ‘anything at all’ … since dreams produce nothing ‘real’.
Nevertheless, as long as you continue to ‘believe’ the dream world is ‘real’, you will continue to experience what seems to be ‘cause and effect’ bringing you the highest highs and the lowest lows. The blessing that exists with these ceaselessly morphing phantoms of so-called ‘karma’ is the ongoing opportunity to recognize ‘who you are NOT’. Suffering persists until you realize it is NOT necessary and that understanding arises when the endless masks of victimhood melt in the Awareness of the ONE SELF YOU Really Are.
Nothing is out-of-order … everything in the dream ‘nudges’ you [sometimes severely] toward this ‘knowing’. Everything is a blessing oriented to your Freedom ‘from’ the Grand Dream you call reality.
