PITY OR COMPASSION

JOHN MCINTOSH

Pity acknowledges the existence of victims. The belief in victims validates the reality of separation. Accepting separation as real is the root of ALL suffering. To pity is to foster suffering.

There ‘are’ no victims. While pain is inevitable while Consciousness occupies a body, suffering is an illusion.

Compassion recognizes that many suffer due to their belief in separation and victimhood. It does NOT agree with this false belief. The one who extends compassion [even if only for a moment in clear Awareness] ‘is’ the SELF and through compassion is loving IT SELF since ‘in’ that moment the belief in separation has dissolved and ONE-ness is remembered.

The unbroken remembrance of ONE-ness is Liberation.
