JOHN MCINTOSH
Imagine a tiny insect crawling along a maze of threads of every tone and color, each with its own energy signature that represents the stories and dramas within the Grand Dream. Some twist and turn while others ascend and descend changing and morphing as the insect crawls along amongst the maze of threads. The insect experiences many obstacles and unimaginable swings from one extreme to another. It tries to find an easy way in and out of the tangled world it cannot understand but as it exercises more and more effort, the going seems to become increasingly more complicated and difficult.
One day it encounters a similar looking insect with wings who is capable of rising up and out of the web of threads the crawling insect calls life. The winged insect explains that the world the crawling insect is experiencing is ONE and that in Reality that ONE is beautiful beyond description. It goes on to say that it is visiting other crawling insects to tell them of this Truth but very few believe what they hear.
The crawling insect is told that it too possesses wings and that they are closer than close but that it must look beneath the hard insect shell it wears to find them, not hidden but in plain view tucked away waiting to be used. It simply needs to give its Attention to them, and that focus will bring them into sight. These wings represent Awareness. The crawling insect is told that when it makes this shift of Attention away from the tangled web and toward its wings, very soon it will find itself flying up and away where it will recognize that what it believed was a harsh and cruel environment is really an exquisitely beautiful single tapestry, Perfect in every way. The crawling insect is told that in that instant the tapestry will be seen for what it really is, and the insect will shed the shell of littleness and limitation it falsely wears.
