THE WORLD VIEW

JOHN MCINTOSH

The world you view, and experience is ‘totally unique’ to you.

The mind is a filter [like a foggy magnifying-manifesting glass] that colors, interprets and skews what it has manifested and is observing through the senses it witnesses the world through. This filter is composed of conditioning that includes attachments, expectations and identifications combined with memory [past] and imagination [future]. When mixed together this produces an identity most call ‘me’. It is constantly changing … as a result – so is the world it manifests and views, and the way it views that unique world.

Because this world view is underpinned by the original concept of ‘separation’ - [the belief that all things and experiences are separate], the world view is placed in an unending hierarchy, which the mind calls good and bad with an infinity of ‘gray’ areas in between. For most, the good is desired and the bad is avoided. However, the so-called ‘average’ body-mind-identity [person] does NOT realize that where they place their focus [especially passionate focuses] ‘expansion’ OF their un-desired  experiences [as well as desired] occurs - as well as the ‘way’ they view their world.

This means that most minds are constantly focused on ‘getting -rid-of’ the ‘bad’ they want to avoid … with the result that they are actually ‘expanding’ it. Taken together, this means that one’s world view has nothing to do with reality. It’s a constantly changing ball of clay that is continuously being shaped into illusion after illusion … and, there ‘is’ no solution the mind can find to so-called ‘fix’ this … to FIX their world. Shifting one’s focus away from the ball of clay – ‘inward’ …  brings ‘neutrality to the world-dream-illusion.

Since the body-mind-identity IS navigating the world-illusion, it serves it well to have this inward-focus, but this does not mean one’s moment-to-moment experience should be ‘indifferent,’ lacking empathy in the many ways that compassion can be expressed. The essence of this Awareness is ONE-ness, [the opposite of the delusional view the mind has of separation], that is … that there IS only ONE expressing and experiencing ‘as many’ and therefore whatever occurs in the world-universe-dream-illusion … IS ‘You’ – temporarily out-pictured in a myriad of ways. The very definition of Self Love therefore is to be kind to yourself and with this One-ness Awareness, that means everything and every experience.

It does NOT, however, mean capitulating to the many possible ‘abuses’ the dream-world-illusion may offer from time to time. When Self Love is present viewing the world-dream includes setting ‘boundaries’ that exemplify that Love.
