The one most call ‘me’ is a fiction. Its many disguises are very convincing … always oriented as they are, to validating its own existence – “Look at me “, it says. It craves praise, recognition and attention … even criticism since all this attests to the fact that it ‘is’ in fact real. The body is its main focus … its care, entertainment and security and the ‘display’ of this false aspect of ‘me’ dominates many industries as proof. The mind receives almost equal billing on the stage of illusions declaring its importance and superiority [or not] over all other beings. It displays its awards and achievements to further validate its presence in history. Invisibility is its greatest fear, which forecasts the inevitable extinction of it in the world of temporary things.
The Real YOU requires no praise or accolade, no recognition of any kind, no description that attempts to place a frame around infinity. IT cannot be impressed or insulted having no frame of reference to ‘contrast’, which dwells only in the illusion of separation. IT is ‘before’ all appearances or inventions of the false self as everything that ‘seems-to-be’ is a tiny flicker within ITs endless Emptiness.
IT is FREE while the body-mind-identity illusion called ‘me’ is in perpetual bondage.
There ‘is’ no such thing as ‘me’.
