If a diamond is wrapped in garbage bags or silk … it’s still a diamond. When the appeal of the wrapping is gone and discarded, the diamond is revealed as always having been there, temporarily hidden – NOT by the wrappings but by one’s ATTENTION and INTEREST ‘in’ the wrappings.

This is the present state of experience for most. The ONE SELF, the only Reality, is wrapped in the conditioning [attachments, expectations and identifications] that defines the entity most call ‘me’. Attention is almost exclusively placed ON this entity and the experiences that are literally ‘created’ in its illusory dream-world BY this conditioning, and which make up the entity’s version of reality. To the degree that the swinging pendulum of happiness and sorrow that results from these experiences, are ‘tolerable’, the dream experiences ‘persists.

When sufficient ‘frustration’ exists that is NOT tolerable, the ‘unlearning’ required to dissolve this conditioning-wrapping – begins. A host of spiritual practices and disciplines are available to address this issue, which soon become a NEW kind of conditioning that make the wanderer ‘feel’ like they are so-called - ‘getting’ somewhere … toward the Freedom and longing for it that they are now experiencing.

Ultimately the direct route, which may be called: WHO AM I, is most easily accessed through Self Inquiry/Surrender, is discovered and the wrappings very quickly begins to fall away.
