WEALTH OR ABUNDANCE ?

JOHN MCINTOSH

The false self focuses enormous attention on wealth, which for it is something to acquire and possess. It is an ‘outside’ thing that it believes needs to be somehow earned or won through many different means such as education, hard work, cleverness and in many cases ‘compromise’. It longs for this experience and all that it believes it could mean, and when and if it achieves it, it fears for its loss. Both emotions are stressful, coloring the happiness it hopes to have as a result of the experience.

This is the meaning of: “The ‘love’ of money is the root of all evil” … which means ‘the attachment to wealth is the cause of great ignorance’.

The ONE SELF [You Really Are] ‘knows’ that IT ‘is’ ABUNDANCE … not something that can be gotten and lost. It knows that ONE-ness ‘wants’ for nothing since IT is All That Is - WHOLE. In this Awareness ‘everything’ is recognized as an emanation of IT SELF and IT tastes the ‘essence’ of Abundance in every moment - so-called great or little. The aroma of a fragrant flower, the taste of a succulent fruit, the grandeur of an exquisite sunset, the laughter of children are savored with the JOY IT also ‘is’. There is no striving or struggle as the SELF … living Abundantly is effortless.
